It is mentioned on their website as an OEM product onlyand is available for trial download. The Workgroup edition is included with the Microsoft Action Pack as a download with installation key. It's also on a page that has a link to various Microsoft distributors, including Synnex, Tech Data, and others; on that page it says they are all distributors of the various Server editions.
So far Windows storage server 2012 r2 standard features free download have not found a distributor who carries this product. A call to Microsoft directly resulted in something like "The distributors of this product are all on that page".
I also checked CDW and they look to carry licenses for it. I also checked two of my local winfows name tech stores and the first one did not have it but the second one showed they can order it in. Sorry, that version is for IBM branded servers. Absolutely not solved. Several more calls to distributors, plus attempts to contact the team responsible for Storage Server, and I'm no further along than before.
I did, however, get a hold of a couple of Server R2 Standard OEM licenses genuine, Windows storage server 2012 r2 standard features free download, with sealed envelope containing installation media and license key for decent money, and will use those.
